Lowrider receive their first ARIA nomination!

Following the ARIA nominations ceremony which took place in Sydney yesterday, word came through… Lowrider have received their first ARIA nomination, with their album ‘Round The World’!

In the category of Best Urban Album, Lowrider are up against fellow Illusive artists Bliss N Eso with their album ‘Running On Air’, alongside Urthboy ‘Spitshine’, M-Phazes ‘Good Gracious’ and Space Invadas ‘Soul-Fi’.

The 2010 ARIA Awards will be held at The Sydney Opera House on Sunday, November 7.

Congratulations to M-Phazes who took out the Best Urban Album ARIA for the album Good Gracious… well deserved!

Lowrider took to the stage at about 10:50 and from the first beat the crowd were in raptures. The boys took the roof of the ‘dale and put the capacity crowd in a soul, funk and hip-hop infused trance. Lead singer Joseph effortlessly weaved his magic on the crowd and took the audience on a sonic journey Round The World and back again to the infamous Annandale Hotel that has witnessed many a great night of killer music such as these lads from Adelaide. Tickets for Lowrider’s National Tour nearly sold out!

The excitement generated from Lowrider’s new album ‘Round The World’ has rocketed ticket sales for their national tour through the roof, after selling out Melbourne’s renowned Corner Hotel on Saturday night and their hometown show at HQ, Adelaide.

Tickets are still available, but selling fast, for shows at the Annandale in Sydney on August 13th and at The Zoo in Brisbane on August 21st.
