Lowrider are currently in the studio working on some killer new tracks and are also excited to announce they will be heading to the US for world renowned SXSW music Festival in Austin Texas.

First of all I would just like to say what a performance you guys played Friday night. Joe even though your voice was not a 100% you still can belt out some amazing vocals, love it! Second I would like to thank you for the amazing surprise and for letting my now fiance propose to me on stage. I could not be happier and for you guys to go out of your way to help on this special occasion…well it warms my heart and tells me that Lowrider really appreciates their fans. Love hits right chords | Adelaide Now

LOVE hit all the right notes at a recent Lowrider concert in town.

Vocalist Joe Braithwaite, tells us Matt Jones’ proposal to Courtney Havriluk went by without a hitch and was happy to announce the lady in question said yes as everyone was cheering.

“The show was a sell-out, the crowd was amazing and this lovely moment tipped the whole night over the edge,” Joe says.

Lowrider plans to release a live recording before the end of the year. That would include a new song only available on this recording.

If all goes well, keep an eye out for a full-length album in 2012.

It always feels good going to a sold out show in Adelaide. I’m not saying that hands down a big crowd results in a great show, we’ve all experienced one of those surprisingly rocking gigs that have a modest 20 people in the crowd, but generally speaking, I would endorse that rule. I mean, they’ve done studies you know, 60% of the time it works everytime – Brian Fantana will back me up on that one. Adelaide heavyweights, Lowrider are well-known to deliver on their live performances and June 24th was no exception. With a line up of Myles Mayo, Joelistics, and of course, the quirky quartet themselves, on paper the night was looking very promising. Add the excitement of technical difficulties, live freestyle rap and an onstage marriage proposal and ……..
